A Weekend at the Opera

September 9, 2008

Mark’s Garden designed floral decor for the opening night party for the Los Angeles Opera season Saturday September 6th in the Music Center Plaza.  It was an Italian theme as a salute to Puccini’s three one-act works in “Il Trittico” directed by Woody Allen and William Friedkin that kicked off the season.  Butter and yellow tones were used with roses dominant on the tables and dramatic ten foot high structures of roses and sunflowers at the entrance to the plaza.  For Sunday brunch celebrating the U.S. premiere of Howard Shore’s “The Fly,” the colors were changed to a moody mix of purples and blues.
